1962 Ferrari 250 GTO
The 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO is chassis 3767GT, originally owned by David Piper and seen here in its original BP Green colour scheme. The car had some good results in its first season of racing, winning at the 9 hours of Kyalami and the Angola GP. In 1963 the car was repainted blue when ownership changed to the Angels Aviation Racing Team, before changing hands again and becoming red, before being restored back to its original colour scheme. The car has been owned by Anthony Bamford since 1974, when it acquired the “63 GTO” number plate (Anthony Bamford is believed to be the only person to own two Ferrari 250 GTO’s at the same time).
